Job Description

Amazon Dev Center India is seeking an analytical, bilingual Transportation Specialist - Portuguese, Central Operations to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) team in a virtual capacity . Operating within the central command and control layer for Amazon’s global supply chain network, this role acts as a single point of contact for managing route plans, scheduling, and carrier execution for the LATAM and AMET regions .

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

  • Bilingual Communication: Conduct daily technical and operational correspondence fluently in Portuguese and English across external carriers, suppliers, and internal fulfillment modules .
  • Real-Time Exception Resolution: Serve as the primary terminal interface for line haul disruptions, stepping in to resolve in-transit exceptions and tracking metrics to safeguard delivery windows .
  • Data-Driven Trend Analytics: Ingest and examine transactional transport datasets to isolate recurring exceptions, translating operational failures into actionable proposals for automated scaling .
  • SOP Governance & Execution: Review and update team Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conducting regular audits with associates to guarantee standard work adherence .
  • Workflow Service Level Tracking: Process incoming logistical work requests and customer escalations within narrow, defined corporate service level agreements (SLAs) .
  • Multi-Shift Operational Agility: Work flexibly across rotational schedules—including overnights, weekends, and regional holiday blocks—to preserve 24/7/365 network visibility .

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

  • Linguistic Competency: Absolute structural fluency to speak, write, and read cleanly within the Portuguese language is mandatory .
  • Educational Background: Holds a valid Bachelor's degree in a highly quantitative or technical field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Statistics .
  • Spreadsheet Proficiency: Strong practical command utilizing Microsoft Excel to manage scheduling files and trace metrics .
  • Preferred Technical Value-Adds: Foundational familiarity with database extraction scripts (SQL) or basic computing programming languages (such as Python, Java, or C++) is considered a plus .
