Applied Scientist, Central Seller Fulfillment

Amazon is hiring an Applied Scientist – Central Seller Fulfillment to join its machine learning organization focused on building next-generation AI solutions for millions of global marketplace sellers. As an Applied Scientist, you will design, develop, and deploy production-grade machine learning models that improve the seller experience across Amazon's international marketplaces. You will work on intelligent recommendation engines, forecasting systems, and Agentic AI applications that help sellers optimize their business operations and expand globally. The position requires strong technical expertise, research-oriented thinking, and the ability to transform ambiguous business requirements into scalable AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy large-scale machine learning and Generative AI solutions for Amazon sellers.
• Build production-ready AI systems using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and modern ML frameworks.
• Develop recommendation systems, forecasting models, reinforcement learning solutions, and Agentic AI applications.
• Create scalable data pipelines using Spark, Hive, Redshift, SQL, and enterprise data platforms.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and research scientists to deliver customer-focused AI products.
• Translate complex business challenges into machine learning models with measurable business impact.
• Evaluate model performance, optimize algorithms, and continuously improve AI system accuracy and scalability.
• Contribute to research through white papers, technical publications, and innovative machine learning solutions.
• Work with global teams across multiple regions to deliver enterprise-grade AI platforms.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in Generative AI, Deep Learning, and Machine Learning technologies.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with Java or C++.
• Hands-on experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or similar deep learning frameworks.
• Knowledge of SQL and large-scale data processing technologies such as Spark, Hive, or Redshift.
• Strong understanding of statistics, machine learning algorithms, and deep learning concepts.
• Experience developing scalable AI or machine learning solutions is highly preferred.
