Job Description
Amazon is hiring for the position of Case Manager – Disability & Leave Services (Contract) in Hyderabad, Telangana. This is a full-time contractual opportunity within Amazon's Disability & Leave Services (DLS) team, supporting employees through leave of absence, disability, workplace accommodations, and return-to-work programs.
As a Case Manager, you will serve as the single point of contact for employees throughout their leave journey, providing end-to-end case management while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations. This role is ideal for HR professionals, employee relations specialists, customer service professionals, and operations executives who excel at problem-solving, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management.
You will collaborate closely with Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, Safety, Legal, third-party administrators, and business leaders to deliver a seamless employee experience while maintaining confidentiality and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end case management for employee leave of absence, disability, and workplace accommodation requests.
- Serve as the primary point of contact throughout an employee's leave lifecycle.
- Review medical documentation and determine leave eligibility according to company policies and applicable regulations.
- Explain leave benefits, accommodation options, and return-to-work processes to employees.
- Develop, monitor, and adjust case management plans based on changing employee needs.
- Handle sensitive employee situations with empathy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Troubleshoot employee issues and proactively remove barriers during leave events.
- Coordinate with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Safety, Legal, and external administrators to resolve employee cases.
- Support managers by providing guidance on employee leave, disability, and workplace accommodations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and update internal case management systems.
- Ensure compliance with Amazon policies, standard operating procedures, and applicable employment regulations.
- Communicate regular case updates to employees and internal stakeholders through email, phone, and virtual meetings.
- Support smooth employee return-to-work planning and reintegration into the workplace.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related discipline (or High School Diploma with relevant experience).
- Minimum 1 year of customer service or HR-related experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple employee cases simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Leave Management, or Benefits Administration.
- Knowledge of Leave of Absence (LOA), Disability Management, ADA, ADAAA, or FMLA processes.
- Experience using HR case management or HRIS systems.
- Experience managing multiple complex employee cases independently.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple business functions and stakeholders.
- Experience handling confidential employee records and compliance requirements.
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
